Gigi is a dog that was dumped as a puppy in the forest of Northern New Hampshire. Within days of her first being spotted, I set up a feeding station, game cam, and eventually a trap. She was terrified of the trap and visited it a few times daily for several months without going in. With the help of Granite State Dog Recovery, we planned to set up a different type of trap to try to save the scared, starving pup. You can see the amazing turn of events here:
The vet guesses that she is now about 10 months old. I have had her at my house, but cannot keep her. She has been spayed and vaccinated. She is still a puppy and needs lots of exercise and training. She is also afraid of some men. She loves to snuggle and will make a great pet.
Also, she has been through so much, and deserves nothing more than a warm couch and someone to play with. I will, unfortunately, have to do this if I can't find her a family within the next few weeks. She still has some food aggression, but is otherwise good with other dogs. She is crate trained is learning basic commands. I have not seen her with cats or small children. We think she is some sort of German Shepherd, Hound mix, but who really knows. She weighs about 40 lbs.
